German EconMin-will take weeks to clarify Opel issues

BERLIN, March 6 (Reuters) - It will take several weeks for the German government to decide whether to grant state aid to Opel due to questions it has about a rescue plan made by the carmaker, Economy Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg said.

"We agreed that we are now talking about a process that will take weeks," Guttenberg told reporters after meeting with executives from Opel and its parent compamy GM in Berlin. (Reporting by Gernot Heller, writing by Paul Carrel)
