FELLBACH, Germany, Oct 30 (Reuters) - German employers in the southern state of Baden-Wuerttemberg said on Thursday they had offered engineering workers a 2.9-percent wage hike over 14 months.
The offer comprised a 0.8-percent rise for November and December, followed by a 2.1-percent pay increase for 2009. Wage deals reached in Baden-Wuerttemberg often serve as pilot agreements for the engineering sector nationwide. (Reporting by Franz-Norbert Piontek, writing by Paul Carrel)
