BERLIN, Nov 1 (Reuters) - Engineering sector workers staged temporary strikes across Germany early on Saturday to press their demand for an 8 percent wage rise in a bitter dispute with employers.
Industrial trade union IG Metall, which is pressing for the hike, said over 8,000 workers took part in strikes on nightshifts across Germany. Some 4,000 took part in a temporary stoppage at Audi's Ingolstadt plant, the union said.
