BERLIN, June 5 (Reuters) - Germany's finance ministry said on Thursday it was not considering raising automobile fuel tax, denying a report in a German newspaper. Financial daily Handelsblatt said the government was mulling increasing gasoline and diesel tax in its bid to bring Germany's budget deficit below three percent of gross domestic product in 2004.
"The finance ministry is not considering such a thing," a finance ministry spokesman said.
