German finmin says Opel needs restructuring plan

DUSSELDORF, Germany, Feb 16 (Reuters) - German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck said on Monday that Opel, the German unit of GM , would only receive state aid if it came up with a restructuring plan.

When it came to help for Opel, Steinbrueck said that Germany would need assurances that any aid it may contribute would stay in the country. (Reporting by Matthias Inverardi, writing by Brian Rohan)
