BERLIN, 14 (Reuters) - German government officials will meet people at General Motors' Opel unit next week, a Finance Ministry spokesman said on Friday.
Opel said earlier on Friday it had asked for state guarantees from the German government.
"We will meet next week with all those concerned and examine the situation closely," the spokesman said.
