German govt won't confirm Toll Collect claim report

BERLIN, Oct 23 (Reuters) - The German government on Thursday declined to confirm a report that it was seeking damages of up to 700 million euros ($822.9 million) from the Toll Collect consortium for delays to Germany's troubled truck toll scheme. The Financial Times said that in addition to the government's damages claim, the consortium of DaimlerChryler AG , Deutsche Telekom AG and France's Cofiroute , would also be liable for contractual penalties of 250,000 euros a day from December 1 ...
