FRANKFURT, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Germany's automotive industry proposed on Wednesday allowing trucks weighing up to 60 tonnes to hit the road in Europe as a way of reducing traffic while transporting the same volume of goods.
The "EuroCombi" idea put forward by the VDA automotive industry association envisages trucks that are more than 25 metres long including one or two trailers.
