German Hesse state Sept auto orders down 20 pct y/y

BERLIN, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The statistics office in Germany's Hesse state, home to car manufacturer Opel's main plant, said on Wednesday that September automobile and automobile part orders in the state fell 20 percent year-on-year.

The decline was led by a 25 percent fall in foreign orders while domestic demand was down 11 percent.

In the first nine months of the year as a whole, orders rose four percent, with a 15.5 percent rise in foreign demand offsetting weaker ...
