BERLIN, Feb 3 (Reuters) - German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's Social Democrats, smarting from defeat in two regional polls on Sunday, said on Monday they would not raise fresh revenues if the opposition blocks tax hike plans.
The elections on Sunday strengthened the opposition Christian Democrats' grip on the Bundesrat upper house of parliament which has the power of veto over the plans.
