German steel output may rise 1.7 pct in 07-industry

FRANKFURT, April 16 (Reuters) - Germany's steel industry could raise raw steel production in 2007 by up to 1.7 percent over 2006 to a record figure of between 47.5 million and 48 million tonnes, its industry lobby said on Monday.
