Germany again delays start of truck toll system

BERLIN, Oct 5 (Reuters) - The German government said on Sunday the start of a trial phase for a high-tech highway toll for trucks would be delayed again, making it unlikely the satellite-based system can be launched as planned in November.

A spokesman for the transport ministry said after a three-hour crisis meeting on Sunday between government officials and the company operating the system, Toll Collect, the start of the test phase was being postponed indefinitely.
