BRUSSELS, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Germany said on Wednesday it will back a European Union climate emissions trading scheme, paving the way for approval of a key EU policy to fight global warming.
Germany, Europe's biggest emitter of "greenhouse gases", had resisted the scheme but decided to back it after getting concessions to protect its industry's competitiveness. EU environment ministers are due to vote on the plan next Monday.
