Germany may profit from energy efficiency goals

FRANKFURT, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Energy efficiency goals set by the German government and industry for up to 2020 could bring lucrative business opportunities for its utilities and engineering sectors, industry officials and analysts said.

A summit meeting hosted on Monday by German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin ended with agreement that Germany's energy productivity should be doubled by 2020.
