BERLIN, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Germany aims to increase the levy on its highway toll for trucks by about 20 percent from the middle of this year, German Transport Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee was quoted as saying by a newspaper on Saturday.
Tiefensee told the Rheinische Post the government wanted to raise the toll to 15 cents per kilometre from 12.4 cents, in return for lowering the burden on hauliers elsewhere, possibly by cutting vehicle tax for trucks of more than 12 tonnes.
