BERLIN, June 19 (Reuters) - German union IG Metall vowed on Thursday to continue strikes in support of a shorter working week in eastern Germany despite evidence the action was beginning to hurt the car industry, a mainstay of the economy.
"The strikes go on," said a spokesman at the engineering union's headquarters in Frankfurt.
