FRANKFURT, Dec 7 (Reuters) - German truckmaker MAN extended to Jan. 31 its 10.3-billion-euro ($13.7 billion) hostile takeover offer for Swedish rivalScania due to a longer EU cartel approval process, the bidder said on Thursday.
"MAN continues to reserve the right to extend the acceptance period and to defer the date for settlement in the future," it said in a statement.
