Germany's MAN raises forecasts on jump in Q2 EBIT

FRANKFURT, Aug 1 (Reuters) - German industrial conglomerate MAN AG raised its sales and profit targets after reporting second-quarter operating profit grew by 60 percent on the back of a continued boom in its core commercial vehicles business.

Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose to 273 million euros ($348.2 million), beating an average forecast of 242 million euros according to a Reuters poll of 23 analysts.
