GM cuts cash compensation to top executives

DETROIT, April 29 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. said on Friday that the cash compensation the automaker paid to Chairman and Chief Executive Rick Wagoner fell by 43 percent last year, when the automaker's net earnings dropped about 27 percent.

GM, the world's largest automaker, also said that the cash compensation it paid its top five executive officers fell 37 percent last year versus 2003.
