GM to expand Hungary output with $655 mln plant

BUDAPEST, Sept 21 (Reuters) - General Motors [GM.UL] will invest 500 million euros ($655 million) to expand capacity at its Opel factory in Hungary, where it will produce three new engine lines from 2012, the company said on Tuesday.

"The new plant will offer 800 jobs," the company said in a statement. "At full capacity, the plant has an output of 500,000 units annually." (Reporting by Marton Dunai; Editing by Will Waterman) ($1=.7636 Euro)
