DETROIT, April 22 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. said on Friday that it has nominated Erskine Bowles, the former White House chief of staff under President Clinton, to its board of directors. If approved by a shareholder vote, Bowles will replace Alan G. Lafley, the chairman, president and chief executive of Procter & Gamble Co. , who resigned from the GM board effective immediately due to antitrust requirements.
