GM reaches union deal, last of Big Three to settle

DETROIT, Sept 18 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. said on Thursday that it has reached a tentative deal on a four-year contract with the United Auto Workers union.

GM, the last of the last of the Big Three to settle with the union, said the deal covers about 115,000 workers.

The UAW has scheduled a news conference for 9:15 a.m. EDT on Thursday with GM and Delphi Corp. , GM's largest supplier which is also part of the contract talks.

Details of the deal were not immediately disclosed, but it was expected to follow the financial terms set in previous deals reached with DaimlerChrysler AG's and Ford Motor Co. .
