GM to record gain of over $5 bln on Allison sale

DETROIT, Aug 13 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. will record a gain of $5.1 billion to $5.4 billion in the third quarter, on the sale of its Allison Transmission unit, the automaker said in a filing with regulators on Monday.
