GM's Saab recalling 55,000 cars worldwide

DETROIT, Nov 22 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp.'s Saab unit said on Friday that it is recalling 55,000 of its Saab 900 model cars worldwide to fix an electronic control unit that could corrode in humid climates and deploy the airbag. The recalled cars are from the 1995 model year. "It's mostly an issue in more humid, more tropical climates. We began to see it in the Far East and Asia-Pacific markets," Saab spokesman Kevin Smith told Reuters. Smith said he was unaware of any accidents ...
