Goodyear says exiting 92 underperforming stores

DETROIT, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co said on Tuesday it would exit 92 underperforming company-owned stores by the end of this year to improve the profitability of its U.S. retail operations. Goodyear said the action would result in after-tax charges of about $30 million, half of which would be recorded in the third quarter. (Reporting by Soyoung Kim; Editing by Tim Dobbyn)
