Goodyear says Japan unit part of investigation


CHICAGO, June 21 (Reuters) - Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said on Monday it was among the tiremakers being investigated by the Japanese government for allegedly rigging defense-contract bids. The Japan Fair Trade Commission had said June 17 that it was searching the offices of about 10 companies that supply tires to the Japan National Defense Agency for vehicles and aircraft.
