Honda Q2 net up 46 pct on U.S. sales rise, slightly below forecast


TOKYO, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Honda Motor Co's second-quarter net profit rose 46 percent, slightly less than expected, after strong car sales in its biggest market, the United States, and motorbike sales in India and Thailand. Japan's third-biggest automaker by sales volume said its July-September net profit totalled 120.4 billion yen ($1.23 billion), compared with 82.2 billion yen a year ago.
