NEW DELHI, July 15 (Reuters) - Indian domestic passenger car sales jumped by 22.9 percent in June to 52,029 units, up from 42,331 units in the same month last year, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said on Tuesday.
SIAM said in a statement that car sales in April-June, the first quarter of the current fiscal year to March 2004, rose to 149,701 units from 114,676 in the same year-ago period.
