Leuliette Replaces Stebbins as Head of Visteon

Visteon credits Stebbins, who had served as CEO since 2008, with guiding the global restructuring of the auto-components maker.

Visteon names Timothy D. Leuliette interim chairman of the board and interim CEO and president, succeeding Chairman, CEO and President Don Stebbins.

Stebbins, who stepped down Friday, joined the auto-components manufacturer in May 2005 as president and chief operating officer, and was named CEO in June 2008. He had served as chairman since Dec. 1, 2008.

“Under his leadership, Visteon successfully completed a major global restructuring initiative,“ the company says in a statement released Monday morning. “Thanks to Don's leadership, Visteon today has a competitive financial, technological and geographic profile.”

Leuliette, a Visteon director since 2010, assumes the top position at the company after serving as chair of the organization and compensation committee, and as a member of the audit and finance and corporate strategy committees.

Prior to joining Visteon he served as president and CEO of parts-maker DURA Automotive, as co-chairman and co-CEO of Asahi Tec, which acquired Metaldyne, a company he co-founded and where he served as chairman, CEO and president. He previously served as president and chief operating officer of Penske.
