Volvo Cars appoints Alain Visser as its new senior vice president-marketing, sales and customer service.
Visser succeeds Doug Speck, who is leaving the Swedish auto maker to “pursue a new career opportunity in the U.S.,” Volvo says in a statement.
Speck played an integral role in establishing Volvo’s sales and customers service divisions in China, which the auto maker has targeted as a growth market.
Volvo says due to Speck’s performance in China, it has asked him to serve as a consultant through the rest of the year.
Visser, a former Adam Opel executive, joined Volvo Cars in 2012 as vice president-sales and marketing.
