Japan May copper cable shipments up 11 pct yr/yr

TOKYO, June 22 (Reuters) - Japanese copper wire and cable shipments rose 11 percent from a year earlier to an estimated 49,700 tonnes in May, an industry body said on Tuesday. That was down from 56,200 tonnes in April, data from the Japanese Electric Wire and Cable Makers' Association showed. (Reporting by Chikako Mogi)
