Japan stocks extend gains, powered by blue chips

TOKYO, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Japanese stocks extended gains on Friday, with the Nikkei average up 1.1 percent on strong rises in blue chips such as Honda Motor Co and Sony Corp , which jumped after posting strong earnings.
