Lear posts big quarterly loss on charges

CHICAGO, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Auto parts maker Lear Corp. on Wednesday posted a $596.6 million quarterly net loss, pressured by impairment and restructuring charges, production cuts on key vehicles and higher materials costs.

The net loss amounted to $8.88 per share for the fourth quarter, compared with net income of $123 million, or $1.70 per share, a year earlier.
