BERLIN, May 27 (Reuters) - Canadian supplier Magna is offering 200 million euros ($278.9 million) towards the German government's trustee model for Opel, Germany's Rheinische Post newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing company sources.
The German government is trying to agree on temporary financing for Opel to protect its assets if its U.S. parent, General Motors , files for bankruptcy.
