Malaysia says to turnaround Proton very soon


KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Reuters) - Malaysia expects to soon turn around its loss-making national car maker, Proton Holdings Bhd , and hopes to see improvement within a year, Second Finance Minister Nor Mohamed Yakcop said on Friday. State investment arm Khazanah Nasional Bhd, which owns 43 percent of Proton, is in talks with German carmaker Volkswagen and U.S. auto giant General Motors to sell some of its stake in the company.
