Malaysia's DRB-Hicom forms distribution JV with GM

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Malaysian autos to banking conglomerate DRB-HICOM has strengthened its car-distribution alliance with U.S. carmaker General Motors Corp by forming a joint venture, DRB-Hicom said on Tuesday. DRB-HICOM would own 49 percent of the venture and General Motors the rest, it said in a statement, adding that the pact would give it better access to GM expertise and experience.
