KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 (Reuters) - Malaysian new vehicle sales totalled 35,130 units in March, down 5.5 percent from 37,194 units in the same month last year, the Malaysian Automotive Association said on Friday.
Passenger car sales slipped to 28,726 units from 30,968 a year earlier, while sales of commercial vehicles increased slightly to 6,404 units from 6,226, it said in a statement.
For the first three months of the year, total motor vehicle sales were 100,041 units, down from 106,262 recorded in the same period of 2002.
