MAN says settles ERF fraud claim with Freightliner


FRANKFURT, May 27 (Reuters) - German truckmaker MAN AG will get nearly $500 million to resolve a tangled seven-year multinational fraud case, it said on Sunday. MAN said it had agreed to settle a fraud claim against Freightliner, a part of DaimlerChrysler , in connection with British truck manufacturer ERF. "The settlement provides that Freightliner shortly pay an indemnity of 250 million pounds sterling (370 million euros) ($496.9 million) to MAN," the company said in a statement. MAN ...
