Mazda expects overseas auto recalls to top 500,000


Aug 19 (Reuters) - Japan's Mazda Motor Corp expects overseas recalls stemming from power-steering flaws to total 514,000 vehicles, a company spokesman said on Thursday. The automaker has already filed applications with local authorities to recall 215,000 vehicles in the United States and more than 10,000 in China, and now plans to broaden the net to include major export markets such as Europe and Australia, confirming an earlier media report.
