PARIS, Oct 24 (Reuters) - French tyre manufacturer Michelin reported nine-month sales of 11.686 billion euros on Thursday, down slightly from 11.702 billion a year earlier.
Michelin said in a statement that sales for the third quarter were 3.865 billion euros, also below the 3.992 billion posted in the year-earlier quarter.
The company confirmed, however, that despite a difficult market, it remained on track to meet its 2002 growth targets.
