Michelin Q1 sales down 2.6 pct, trims outlook


PARIS, April 28 (Reuters) - French tyre maker Michelin on Monday trimmed its full-year forecasts as higher raw material costs and negative currency effects pushed its first-quarter sales 2.6 percent lower. Michelin's revenues amounted to 4.091 billion euros ($6.41 billion) in the first quarter, down from 4.2 billion euros in the first quarter of 2007, the company said in a statement.
