Mitsui seeks use of Fed commercial paper facility-media


TOKYO, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Major Japanese trading house Mitsui & Co Ltd has asked to tap the U.S. Federal Reserve's new commercial paper (CP) buying facility to buy dollar-denominated paper, media reports said on Sunday. While Mitsui is not facing problems with its fund-raising in the United States, it wants to be able to borrow dollar funds at low interest rates at a time when market turmoil could push up funding costs, Nikkei said, without citing sources.
