TOKYO, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Japan's Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (MMC) will start supplying fuel-efficient gasoline engines for DaimlerChrysler's Smart cars as early as 2006, the Nihon Keizai business daily reported on Monday, sending MMC shares up more than 4 percent.
