BRUSSELS, Oct 21 (Reuters) - U.S. car giant Ford Motor Co. on Tuesday tried to ease tensions at its Belgian plant Genk, which is facing 3,000 job cuts, by saying that the plant will produce the next generation of Ford's Mondeo brand.
"This confirmation guarantees the future of Genk," the company said in a statement.
