Motherson profit lags f'cast as restructuring weighs

MUMBAI, July 27 (Reuters) - Auto parts maker Motherson Sumi Systems' consolidated April-June net profit came in sharply below estimates, hurt by a restructuring charge related to a recent acquisition, officials said on Monday.

Motherson Sumi's first quarter profit of 110.5 million rupees on sales of 14.04 billion rupees was against a profit of 316.5 million rupees the year ago. Though the aquisition helped boost sales from last year's 6.01 billion rupees.
