MUMBAI, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Auto parts maker Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd's quarterly profits slid 65 percent despite a surge in sales, hit mainly by a restructuring charge related to closure of two plants, and exchange fluctuations.
The company reported a consolidated net profit of 149.6 million rupees on net sales of 15.88 billion rupees in July-Sept. This compares with a profit of 423.1 million rupees on sales of 6.20 billion rupees a year ago.
