MONACO, May 4 (Reuters) - Formula One's governing body expects the major car manufacturers to scrap plans for their own series after teams hastened far-reaching changes to the championship on Tuesday.
Team bosses, Formula One's commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone and FIA president Max Mosley met in Monaco to discuss proposals to cut costs and allow new teams to compete.
