MRF Jan-March profit rises on higher sales, lower input costs

MUMBAI, April 13 (Reuters) - Tyremaker MRF reported a nearly 5 percent rise in Jan-March net profit as prices of key inputs softened and sales rose in its replacement segment, a top official said on Monday.

India's top tyremaker by sales reported a net profit of 686.9 million rupees versus 656.2 million rupees a year ago. Its net sales rose to 14.04 billion rupees from 12.14 billion rupees.

One brokerage polled by Reuters was expecting a net loss of 208 million rupees ...
