NEW YORK, Nov 27 (Reuters) - North American shipments of replacement automotive lead-acid batteries increased in August by 12.68 percent from July, and rose 2.27 percent from August last year, according to a U.S. industry group. The Battery Council International said in its most recent report that August shipments went up to 8,409,757 units from 7,463,703 units in July.
