Navistar says to terminate labor contracts

WARRENVILLE, Ill., Oct 20 (Reuters) - Truck maker Navistar International Corp. on Sunday said it will terminate an extended labor contract with the United Auto Workers at 12:01 a.m. (16:01 GMT) on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Navistar's previous three-year labor agreement with the UAW expired on Oct. 1, but the terms had been extended indefinitely subject to termination with at least 24 hours notice by either the company or the union.
